Here at Mon Valley community Health Services Inc., Primary Care we offer four certified Marketplace Navigators and four certified application counselors to assist you in all your health care needs.
A Navigator is an individual that is trained and able to help consumers, small businesses, and their employees as they look for health coverage options through the Marketplace, including completing eligibility and enrollment forms. These individuals and organizations are required to be unbiased. Their services to all consumers is free.
Navigators can have a vital role in helping consumers learn if they qualify for a premium tax credit through the Marketplace.
The Affordable Care Act provides a new tax credit to help you afford health coverage purchased through the Marketplace. Advance payments of the tax credit can be used right away to lower your monthly premium costs
A Navigator will also provide outreach and education to raise awareness about the Marketplace.
Navigators are funded through state and federal grant programs, and must complete comprehensive certification training.
